30 Jan 2018 (Buenos Aires, Argentina): I believe I previously stated that Argentina doesn’t fuck around when it comes to meat. Well, we have a bit of a dinner tonight. The appetizer (not pictured but truly lovely) is a ceviche made with raw meat instead of fish, and this is our steak. They only have one beef steak on the menu, and here she is ordered “muy jugoso” (~medium rare). The scale is a bit hard to glean, but that ribeye is substantially thicker than the bowl of tomatoes is tall. And unfortunately, it’s completely inedible and we walk home sad and hungry.
Edit: apprently deadpan sarcasm isn’t always obvious on the internet. The steak was delicious, we ate it all, and we walked home fat-and-happy.
