22 Jan 2018 (Torres del Paine National Park, Chile): I screwed up and didn’t take any photos today; it was a get-from-one-place-to-another day anyway. So I’m going to take the liberty of posting one from the previous evening. We had dinner with four of our faves also staying at the same hotel. Marc and Vivian are in their 70s, and they live in DC, and they’re en route to Antarctica. They’re into art, talking about semi-conductors, and falling gracefully. Nazir took his mother, Mina, on this trip. They’re Canadian and instantly reminded me of everything I love about the special kind of hospitality and energy that I’ve only ever seen from Indians. Yeah, basically, we found our people and had a really lovely dinner.
