28 Feb 2018 (Medellin, Colombia): Leah’s uncle, Stephen, is in Medellin today for a visit! He has brought us some supplies and some smiles. And here we are in comuna 13 to ride the escalators and gawk at the graffiti. It’s on all of the do-this-thing-while-you’re-in-this-place lists. I’m not disappointed.

Day 55
1 Mar 2018 (Medellin, Colombia): Today is a slow day. I do lots of reading (tech stuff) to set myself up for some tutorials tomorrow (and stretching because I’m sore from the gym), and Leah goes out on a walk without me. We went out for a really lovely dinner with another set of friends-of-friends, […]
Day 56

The first one (likely constructed exactly so people like me would write about it in places like this) was the […]
Day 57
3 Mar 2018 (Medellin, Colombia): I took a break from computer-y things (mostly reading about the implementation details of the new bitcoin lightning network) all day to join Leah for a beer at one of our many local watering holes (she went out and saw Ladybird). We caught another Atlético Nacional game (this one was […]
Day 58
4 Mar 2018 (Medellin, Colombia): A friend of a friend, Johan (on the left), took us on a roadtrip out to Rio Negro (~1hr) along with his fiancee (Marcela on the right) and their two friends for a proper Bandeja Paisa meal. They are such gracious hosts, and here we are digesting at a dessert […]
Day 59
5 Mar 2018 (Medellin, Colombia): There’s so much construction and beautification and infrastructure being built in this city and especially in our neighborhood. Here they’re prepping charging stations for electric vehicles, and in the back of this photo, there’s a man using the longest yellow pole I’ve ever seen to hook a rope tied very […]
